How are learning and studying changing of technological development (computerisation, the Internet, satellite TV, etc). Describe a school in 100 years’ time.I am going to speak about technological development, which changes our learning and studying. Besides I’ll try to imagine school in a 100 years’ time and describe it.
First of all I would like to say that nowadays the level of technology has become very high and it is still increasing. As you know the main target of it is to make our life easier for us to live, so it practically changed everything beginning with brainwork and ending with manual labour.
But now let’s talk about learning and studying changes. I wouldn’t say it about our country, but in other modern countries learning and studying are changing rapidly. Books are being replaced by computers, because a computer is faster than a book, it is usually connected to Internet so you can find almost everything what you need for your studies.
Talking about school in a 100 years’ time I could say that it will change greatly and for the better. I think future schools will be equipped with modern technologies such as computers, TV and so on. In my opinion future school will be much more effective than today’s ones.
In conclusion, I would like to say that technological development plays an important role in our lives. Without it our society would not exist.
How should people protect themselves against crime? Do you think people should be allowed to carry pistols to protect themselves in this age? Does the possession of a weapon help prevent crime or does it just lead to more violence?
The main topic of my individual talk is to answer the question: how would people protect themselves against a crime? Therefore I’ll try to analyse if people should be allowed to carry pistols to protect themselves. In addition I will express my own opinion about it.
Firstly I would like to mention that nowadays our life isn_t safe. It seems that neither police, nor government can_t guarantee public safety. Therefore statistics show that violent crimes have increased at present. No one can live in peace and feel safe even in his own home. That’s why people are trying to protect themselves more and more: they try to find new ways of protection, supply their private property with modern secure equipment, they even buy weapons, thinking that it is an effective measure against crimes and violence.
